Evan, Brother #3
I completely spaced my third brother post. Thank goodness my brothers don't read my blog or else I'd have heard about it by now.
Evan...is my youngest brother. He is 8 years younger. When he was born, I was staying at my Grandma Mortimer's. My parents called me and told me I had another little brother. Boy, was I upset. Three brothers was a lot! I just wanted a baby sister. A couple of days later, we were able to go to the hospital. I soon changed my tune. He was the cutest baby. He weighed 11 lbs and had a mess of dark, dark hair. I loved him from the moment I laid eyes on him. From then on, I became somewhat of a second mother. I used to tote him around on my hip (no easy feat, since he was a big kid, and I was only 8.) I think I still feel like Evan's second mom.
I can't imagine what my family would be like without Evan. He loves to get us all riled up, especially my Mom, but he LOVES with his whole self. A few years back, he was being a typical teenager and doing something stupid. This act involved fireworks. He ended up in the hospital with a split-apart right hand. Very SCARY! He pulled through the whole experience like a trooper. He is a better man because of it!
Evan is our family job guy. I say that because he's had a lot of jobs. He has worked for my Dad in construction, worked for a couple of pest control companies, worked for a hotel, worked for a gas company in Vernal, and now for a politician. He is currently attending BSU and getting pretty good grades I might add. He's very intelligent, articulate, and hard-working when he wants to be. :) I love him to death!!!

LOVE STORY (Taylor Swift) meets VIVA LA VIDA (Coldplay) - Piano Cello - by Jon Schmidt
My friend had this on her blog. I had to share! Jon Schmidt is a favorite of Jason and I's. We've seen him in concert a couple of times. He is a blast to watch and he does such fun things with his music. If you haven't heard about him before this. You should check out his website and listen to some more of his music. Uplifting and fun! He also does Pachelbel's Canon meets U2.

Moving!
We are buying a house in Idaho Falls and will be moving @ the end of May. We are supposed to close on the house this week, but the people couldn't be out until May 10. The kids are excited because they all get their own rooms. Maybe that'll cut down on the fighting (I can dream, can't I?) The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths which is a big upgrade from our 3 bed/1 bath home now. The yard is much smaller than what we have, but it is fenced with an auto sprinkler system. No more pulling the sprinkler around for me.
We have lived here for over 5 years so the accumulation of...stuff is great. Anyone have tips they wanna share about packing and moving?

Someone forwarded this video to me. I cried. This guy is AWESOME! Make sure you watch the whole thing. Check out the teens faces as they are leaving. Inspiration for those hard days!

Another weekend down...
Yesterday was a good weather day in Idaho. Weather in Idaho is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what you're gonna get. (Thanks Forrest) We even sat outside in between conference sessions and let the kids ride their bikes and race back and forth.
Now it's Monday morning. My girls are at school. CJ has a little cold, and I'm starting the laundry. There is something comforting about a routine.
I need to prepare FHE for tonight. Anyone have any brilliant ideas?

Under Construction
I am finally attempting to update my layout. It's taking me forever. Apparently my learning curve isn't so curvacious. (Is that a word?) Anyhoo...I finally got most of it figured out and then forgot to put together my header photos before I changed my backgrounds. SORRY for the mess. Bear with me, I'll fix it and it'll all be pretty and matching soon.
General Conference
I am so excited about General Conference. I love to listen to the messages from our General Authorities and especially our prophet. Especially because it means I can listen to a spiritually uplifting talk without too many interruptions. Plus, I don't have to worry about any callings.
An awesome friend of mine put this on her blog and I'd thought I'd share. It brought a smile to my face. I learned something new, and I thought it was a great way to teach your kids about our leaders. ENJOY!
