Proud of my Papa!

My Mom called this morning and told me my Dad is running for State Senator. Apparently Mel Richardson is finally retiring. He is supposed to be holding a press conference today in Boise to announce his candidacy.

My Dad is one of the hardest working people I know, and I'm grateful he passed some of that on to me.

This legislative gig was a new challenge in his life and I think he has met it with tenacity, conviction, and strong moral values. Way to go, Mean Dean!

I love you and am proud of what you stand for!

Thrillicious: 2008 SoBe Life Water Super Bowl Ad

Carter absolutely loves this commercial. He laughs and dances with the lizards. We thought maybe it was the music so we showed him the Thriller music video. No way! He got bored in 2 seconds. Dancing Lizards...AWESOME!

Can you guess what we did this morning? Lauren pulled her front tooth. YAHOO! She is excited because now when she talks it sounds funny.

I am feeling old. Old enough to have a child who is losing her front teeth. I guess I should feel old, I'm almost 30. YIKES. I can't believe I said that out loud. 30! 30? 30?!@*

So, I go into my bedroom to find Carter cuz it's awfully quiet. Ya know the kind of quiet when you know that your kids are into trouble. This is the face that looked up at me. Daddy had left the Oreos on the night stand and CJ found them. He not only found them, he had eaten 2 by the time I got there. (or tried to eat them, as you can see, a lot of the cookie ended up on his face and in his hair.) He was proud of himself and I tried to be mad, but couldn't. Look at his face, do you blame me?

So Taylor obviously didn't want to eat her dinner. She ate fine and then said she was tired. Lauren, Carter and I were still eating when I looked over to see this. I couldn't believe it. We had only been sitting for 5-10 minutes. So FUNNY!
